Doner Shack prepares for US debut

Doner Shack, the renowned Berlin-inspired street-food franchise, has announced their participation in the largest franchise expo in the southern United States, scheduled for early September

This milestone follows a comprehensive brand repositioning, menu enhancement and the introduction of a new delivery solution by the Glasgow-based team, marking their readiness to embark on their American venture.

Sanjeev Sanghera, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Doner Shack stated: “Expanding to the US has always been on our wish list. The last year has been about getting our restaurants, brand, franchise model and menu to the point where we could feel completely confident that all bases were covered as we pitched into such an important market.”

The franchise invested significant effort into brand repositioning to ensure sustained growth for their QSR model. This strategic move has led to a notable increase in customer visits, averaging two to three times per week, and a 32% surge in sales compared to June of the previous year. The increase is attributed to a 60% rise in delivery sales and an 11% boost of in-restaurant sales. These promising figures suggest a positive reception for Doner Shack’s offerings among the key 18-34 demographic in the US, as they prepare to showcase their new stand-build at the Franchise Expo South in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on 6th – 7th September.
