Tutor Doctor celebrates national award nomination

“We’ve been shortlisted in the category, Best Tuition Delivery to Schools,” explains brand Marketing Manager, Michelle Morris. “We’re so proud of our network! Being recognised for our work in schools is gratifying for so many reasons, not least because the students we are able to reach through this pathway would likely fall through the cracks in the education system if not for our franchisees. This really is a win-win for all parties and we’re delighted to be in the running for this award.”

This nomination highlights the success of Tutor Doctor’s latest innovation, the Schools Delivery Programme. Launched in 2023 after two years of development, this initiative has driven significant growth within the franchise network.

Since its inception, Tutor Doctor franchisees have partnered with over 570 schools nationwide, supporting an additional 5,900 students. The network’s turnover has increased by an impressive 114% year-on-year, with the three pilot franchisees each surpassing £1 million in turnover. Currently, 66% of all franchisee work is conducted through schools and local authorities, underscoring the programme’s success and demand.

The Tutors’ Association (TTA), the UK’s only regulatory body for professional tutors, represents around 50,000 tutors and over 400 corporate members. TTA President John Nichols commented, “The National Tutoring Awards aim to highlight the exceptional quality and diversity within the professional tutoring sector. These businesses and individuals play a crucial role in supporting students across the UK and beyond.”

Tutor Doctor continues to be the world’s fastest-growing in-home tutoring franchise. Franchisees manage teams of tutors and work closely with families to tailor educational support to each student’s needs. Offering both in-home and online tutoring, Tutor Doctor provides personalised, one-on-one educational experiences.

Rob and Lynne Kerrison, franchisees of Tutor Doctor Cambridge, previously won the Delivery to Schools award in 2023 for their local efforts. This year, the entire Tutor Doctor network is honoured for its substantial contributions to the sector. The winners will be announced at a gala dinner in London at the end of June.
