Drama Kids, a prominent provider of performing arts education for children, is thrilled to announce the launch of its new initiative targeting individuals under 25. The ‘Franchise Graduate Scheme’ offers a well-defined pathway to franchise ownership in the performing arts sector, equipping the next generation of entrepreneurs with essential tools and support for success.

Introduced earlier this year, the Franchise Graduate Scheme aims to attract fresh talent, with recent university graduates and young entrepreneurs already investing in their own Drama Kids franchises.

One of the first franchisees to take advantage of the new scheme is 24-year-old Amber Jellet from Bromley, who recently took on her territory in Gravesend and Sevenoaks. With a background in musical theatre, which she has been training in since the age of five, Amber initially pursued acting before discovering her true passion for teaching children.

“Having spent the last few years working as a children’s party entertainer and then a teaching assistant in a school, I can see such value in the ways in which I can support the younger generation,” Amber shared. “When I found Drama Kids and their investment opportunity, the brand’s mission to foster communication and confidence in children really resonated with me. I love that Drama Kids focuses on each child’s individuality and self-worth, rather than just preparing them for the stage.

“Having just completed my franchise training at head office, I’ve now launched my business in my own community – all before I celebrate my 25th birthday. I’m thrilled to have joined the Drama Kids family and know that, with their support, I can make a real success of my own franchise.”

Key features of the new scheme include ongoing professional development and the opportunity to earn a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification. The five-year franchise agreement, with an option to renew after the initial term, allows candidates to enhance their CV and develop significant business acumen while building a valuable business asset.

This initiative follows the brand’s global rebranding just a year ago. For Becky Goodfield, COO of Drama Kids, it marks a new chapter in the company’s history—and in the franchising landscape at large.

“I wish this scheme had existed when I joined the Drama Kids team at 23! At Drama Kids, our academies are run by people from all walks of life, but the value of bringing in fresh, new and young talent will strengthen the diverse network that already exists in the UK. I can’t wait to see what people like Amber will go on to achieve as they join our growing network.

“The Drama Kids programme is designed to build confidence – not only in the students we teach, but in the franchisees themselves. We’re giving young entrepreneurs the skills they need to run their own business while making a difference in children’s lives,” Becky added.
