Lorraine Kelly discusses ‘difficult conversations’ with Home Instead

Home care franchising giant sponsor popular podcast series.

TV broadcaster Lorraine Kelly is making it her business to discuss elderly care and has joined forces with Home Instead to evaluate this important topic. The leading home care franchise is sponsoring series three of Lorraine’s successful podcast called ‘What If?’

Those who click into these popular podcasts will enjoy listening to Lorraine and daughter Rosie, as the pair interview well-known celebrities about key events in their lives. And during these podcasts Lorraine and Rosie will play the Home Instead card game titled ‘Care Conversations.’

When this occurs, it will trigger Lorraine to share her views on getting older. Lorraine will talk about how to discuss the subject of care with ageing parents, and what they might require from a suitable care package.

Lorraine said: “I think talking about care is a bit like making a Will. No one really wants to do it, but you actually feel better when it’s done and dusted. It can be difficult to have that talk with your parents or relatives, but it’s vital to do so. Find out exactly what they want, so you can start making a plan. You should never try to second guess what will make them comfortable and happy.”

Home Instead‘s sponsorship of series three will run from spring through to summer, and will highlight the importance of having these sensitive ‘Care Conversations‘. Series three of the podcast began during March, and among the interviewees are Katie Piper, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Alison Hammond, Sophie Ellis-Bexter and Andy Peters.

Speaking about the new sponsorship deal, Home Instead‘s brand and marketing director Lee Chapman said: “Our mission is to support older people to live a happy, fulfilled life in their later years. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the sponsorship of Lorraine and Rosie’s ‘What If?’ podcast. This will help us to reach a huge audience with these important messages. It’s vital for everyone to plan for, and choose, the right care for them in later life.”

As part of Home Instead‘s ongoing support for their franchise network, the company has undertaken numerous marketing campaigns that have enjoyed national exposure. The company’s UK network has surpassed 240 local franchisees, and this latest initiative will help to promote the Home Instead brand even more.

Other celebrity collaborations include the sponsorship of two Alan Titchmarsh programs on ITV, namely ‘Love your Garden‘ and ‘Spring into Summer‘. Home Instead has also formed strong partnerships with Parkinson’s UK, Boots and Barclays.
