Norfolk-based accountancy franchise makes live TV appearance

TaxAssist Accountants were delighted to be offered the opportunity to boost their profile, when they appeared on national television recently. The growing international franchise was invited to discuss the topical subject of ‘tax returns’ during a live TV interview broadcast by GB News earlier this month.

The company’s Head of TaxAssist Group Technical, Andy Gibbs, appeared on the broadcaster’s breakfast show on Thursday, January 5th, to give advice to viewers ahead of this month’s tax return deadline. And it was an invitation which TaxAssist Accountants were pleased to accept.

James Mattam, TaxAssist’s Group Business Development Director, said: “We were really pleased to have been asked to take part in a live TV interview. The conversation focused on HMRC’s advice and warnings regarding outstanding tax returns ahead of the January 31st deadline. This was a huge brand awareness opportunity for us and at a very opportune time.

“By using his wealth of knowledge, as an accountant, Andy did a great job in answering the many questions put to him on behalf of the network. He represented the brand brilliantly.

“To have been contacted for comment is testament to the size and reputation of our network. It was a great chance to promote the TaxAssist Accountants’ brand and help drive new client enquiries, while publicising our highly visible walk-in shops.”

TaxAssist business partner Chris Cottee, who is the franchisee for Sleaford and Bourne in Lincolnshire, watched the interview on TV and was quick to praise the company: “I’d like to congratulate the Business Development team for obtaining a slot on national TV – which is no mean feat. The national exposure was a boost and hopefully the network will benefit from it by attracting new business.”

Anyone keen to build their own accountancy practice, or convert an existing business into the TaxAssist brand, should attend one of the company’s Discovery Days. These valuable gatherings will allow prospective new business partners to learn more about the technical, marketing and business development support on offer.

Those who attend will also discover about TaxAssist’s range of additional services that include TaxAssist Financial Services, TaxAssist Tax Consulting and TaxAssist Payroll.

Founded in Norwich during the mid-1990s, the TaxAssist network has expanded globally. The franchise has more than 80,000 clients and over 420 shops and offices. As well as operating in the UK, TaxAssist Accountants has successfully launched in the Republic of Ireland, Australia, Canada and United States.
