The chief executive of the British Franchise Association (bfa) says she is delighted that the organisation’s SUPERBRAND event is once again a key diary date in UK franchising’s busy calendar. This international flagship event, held in partnership with Barclays Bank, will take place on June 15th at IET London in Savoy Place.

SUPERBRAND is aimed at attracting established franchise brands that are already big names domestically, as well as those based abroad and who are keen to enter the UK market. Morning sessions have been designed around education for the global community, while the afternoon will witness the IET being transformed into a connectivity hub.

Pip Wilkins, chief executive of the bfa, said: “It’s great to see our SUPERBRAND event returning once more. It is focussed on giving business owners all the insight they need to expand their business horizons into the international arena.

“It’s certainly the place to be for those who want to better understand how to develop and expand their brand into new and existing markets. We have a blended format of keynote presentations from speakers in the world of business, including franchising. All sessions are structured to create key take-away value, while providing the opportunity to network and learn from others. Attendees will also build vital lasting connections.”

All sessions are led by industry specialists, including Suzie McCafferty (Platinum Wave Franchising), Farrah Rose (The Franchising Centre), David Paulson (TaxAssist Accountants) and Bill Painter (Snap fitness).

Stevie Borthwick, UK Head of Franchise at Barclays, added: “At Barclays we believe franchising plays a vital role in supporting the local economy through job creation and payment of taxes.

“Not only does it promote entrepreneurship but it reduces the risk of failure too. We are extremely proud to continue our commitment to supporting the franchise community by sponsoring the bfa’s SUPERBRAND event in London. Whether you’re a franchisor or franchisee, having industry knowledge and experience is vital for making the most of new opportunities.

“The bfa is dedicated to upskill both franchisors and franchisees, as well as provide opportunities to network and grow. This is a truly worthwhile event and useful to anyone looking to move forward in their franchising journey.”
