Record year for Ovenclean

Surge in home cooking means best-ever 12 months for Worcestershire-based franchise

Franchisees of Ovenclean have been toasting a remarkable growth in business over the past year, which has seen a rapid increase in the number of generated leads. Between July 1st 2020, and the end of June this year, Ovenclean has enjoyed a 37% rise in the number of customer leads it has received. And this figure is even higher for the first six months of 2021, when leads were up 69% compared to the same period last year.

The company, whose headquarters are in Kidderminster, have cited the UK lockdown as the reason behind this extraordinary surge. With more and more families forced to remain at home for long periods, since March 2020, this has led to an increase in home cooking. These prodigious figures, released earlier this week, means franchisees on average have boosted their monthly income by over £3k, based on customer enquiries.

All of which means, the domestic cleaning company has witnessed the most successful 12 months in its 27-year history. Ovenclean‘s marketing director, Robin Auld, said: “We’re delighted to be able to celebrate such fantastic results for our franchisees, especially given the wider economic climate which has impacted badly on other industries.

“In our case, the Covid-19 restrictions saw people invest the money they had saved into their own homes, as they sought to improve their living spaces. Because people couldn’t eat out, inevitably their ovens were used more and more, and subsequently became dirty more quickly. Additionally, many people who previously had very little interest in cooking, used the spare time that lockdown offered to experiment in the kitchen.

“Even as lockdown has eased over the past few months, we’ve continued to see record numbers of leads from customers who have discovered our service during the pandemic. These people are so impressed with what we can offer, that they are recommending us to their friends and family. This is also testament to the hard work of our specialists. And I want our franchisees to know that their hard work and dedication is being recognised and appreciated.”

A press release published by the company this week explained that during 2020 Ovenclean overhauled its branding, while also ramping up its social media and digital marketing output. These changes, they claim, was another factor in generating a wealth of new leads.

About Ovenclean: Launched in 1994, there are now over 100 franchisees in its UK network. The company’s specialists clean all types of domestic oven brands and models, including electric ovens, gas ovens, microwaves, hobs, extractor fans and barbecues. All removable components such as racks, doors and glass, are cleaned using specialist equipment and within the safe and hygienic environment of company vehicles.
