Finalists announced for bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards 2016

It’s always nice to have a little bit of recognition for all your hard work. But we’re sure being shortlisted for the most prestigious award your industry has to offer is even nicer. So you can imagine the excitement of the 17 franchisors that have been named as finalists in the bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards 2016 and are up with a chance of winning one of the biggest accolades in UK franchising.

There’s a ton of talent vying for the top gong of bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year 2016, including Home Instead Senior Care, McDonald’s, Driver Hire Nationwide and Water Babies, while the rising stars up for this year’s Emerging Franchisor of the Year award are busylizzy, Diamond Logistics and Heritage Healthcare. Elsewhere, the nominees for Franchisee Recruitment Award are Home Instead Senior Care, Premier Sport and TaxAssist Accountants, while McDonald’s, Swimtime and X-Press Legal Services are set to duke it out for the Award for Innovation. Finally, Dream Doors, Dyno-Rod and O2 are in with a chance of netting the Customer Focus Award.

Andy Brattesani, UK head of franchising for HSBC, said: “Such a day naturally challenges concentration levels, reading entries all day is hard work […] But the quality of the applications and the enthusiasm that came out of the written words ensured I was captivated throughout. I can’t wait to hear more at the judging from some great businesses.”

Pip Wilkins, who is set to become the bfa’s chief executive in April, added: “This was a very difficult process thanks to the number and calibre of entries. It’s particularly pleasing to see the variety of businesses expanding through franchising represented, reflecting the range of operators in UK franchising. Our finalists should be very proud to have been recognised for their exceptional performance.”

After the full shortlist presents to a judging panel on April 12 and 13, the winners will be announced at a black-tie gala on June 23 in Nottingham. We wish the best of luck to all involved.”
