The dream for many franchisors is to scale and expand, seeing more enthusiastic entrepreneurs thrive under their watch while flying the corporate flag as a franchisee. So it’s champagne o’clock then as three UK-based franchises celebrate growth and developments in new territories.

Dream Doors

Dream Doors, the kitchen refurbishment franchise, has launched a new branch in Birmingham’s neighbouring village of Barnt Green, where UK home secretary Sajid Javid attended the grand opening. Franchisee Zoe Galloway who boasts prior experience in interior design as well as construction management, runs the new site with the support of her family.

The franchise is known for its kitchen design innovation and Galloway is looking forward to employing local people and transforming homes of residents. “I feel it’s really important to support local businesses and the community,” she said. With more than 80 franchisees in the UK, the national franchise is set to grow exponentially under the leadership of Troy Tappenden.

Caremark

Caremark, the home care franchise, saw the arrival of two new franchisees entering its network. New recruits Robert Johnstone and Amit Mehta both have decades of business experience that will help them run their new ventures. While Johnstone has taken to the region of Cambridgeshire to embark on his entrepreneur journey, Mehta along with his wife are set to scale the franchise in Hounslow.

Commenting joining the network, Johnstone said: “Over the next five years I will set up and grow a business where people will feel valued, have the opportunity to develop their careers and be part of a like-minded team. This will allow me to offer a great service to people in need within the local community.”

With growth of its 100 franchises across the UK, Caremark definitely fulfils its purpose of service to the community.

The Massage Company

After opening in 2016, The Massage Company, the membership-based massage franchise, has announced its third franchisee. Sunny Sachdev who signed the dotted line, has past experience in management and business. He is now looking for spaces in Solihull, Leicester and Nottingham. With a footprint in five locations, The Massage Company opened its first centre in Camberley in March 2016 plans to expand nationally.

Talking about the expansion, Elliot Walker, founder of The Massage Company, said: “It is our intention to grow a nationwide network of franchisees and it is vital that we spend time doing our due diligence, to carefully interview and be selective in taking franchisees into the network.”

Looking at these franchises going from strength-to-strength, it seems fair to say that business is booming in the franchise sector.
