It’s continued growth for the UK’s leading Fire & Security franchise

Jackson Fire & Security have appointed a new franchisee in the north-west of England, with the news that Paul Hogg takes over in Manchester. The fire safety franchise took to social media to announce his arrival saying: ‘Our Manchester branch officially launches under new management.

‘Paul Hogg, our new branch director, brings with him a wealth of experience having spent most of his career in the fire and security industry. We are very excited he is now with Jackson Fire & Security heading up our Manchester team.’

Paul is certainly no stranger to the company, having previously worked as a customer training manager, where one of his roles was to instruct Jackson Fire & Security staff to use the most up-to-date fire alarm products. Jackson Fire, which began trading in 1991, has 13 franchise sites across the UK.

Paul, who is based in the Greater Manchester town of Middleton, has joined the franchise with the aim of equipping local businesses with the latest building safety solutions. Paul has strong links to Manchester having previously worked as a site engineer at the Arndale Centre.

His remit also covers the towns of Bury, Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale and Wigan and, to assist him as he seeks to expand Jackson services in the region, he has appointed engineer Jason Heywood.

During his career, Paul spent nine years with Siemens who are Europe’s largest industrial manufacturing conglomerate. In addition to being their customer training manager, he was also a technical support engineer, before recently jumping ship to join Jackson Fire & Security who have their headquarters in Flintshire, North Wales.

Paul said: “Despite working across the country with Siemens, I’ve lived in Manchester my whole life and began my career here. I started as an apprentice in Manchester city centre, at the age of 15, where I carried out electrical maintenance on high-rise buildings.

“I’m excited to be part of a national brand identity while harnessing my knowledge of fire and safety regulations. My aim is to support and provide services to local organisations, from large businesses to charities and sports clubs.

“As a qualified Siemens partner, I’m also distinctly positioned as I can sell and install its latest products to customers, as well as carry out vital maintenance work. It’s vital for all organisations to have compliant equipment, so I hope to build up trust by expanding my client base, as I supply state-of-the-art Jackson solutions within the region.”

Jackson Fire & Security employs more than 60 people at franchises across North Wales, north-west England, Yorkshire, Teesside, Cambridgeshire, London, Kent, and Surrey. The company has built a well-deserved reputation for quality, reliability and service.

Its managing director, Steve Jackson, is delighted with the new appointment, saying: “We are lucky to have a brilliant relationship with our suppliers and, by recruiting Paul who has an extensive knowledge of the industry, we hope to keep our finger on the pulse.

“As we already have a presence in Manchester, it will be fantastic to focus on expanding our contracts in the area – and provide businesses with the most recent safety technologies.”
