PGH Beegone unveil latest recruit

Owner delighted to welcome Louchlan as the network’s newest business partner in Solihull and Redditch.

The boss of PGH Beegone, Peter Higgs, has announced that the company has signed up a new franchisee based in the midlands. Louchlan Deeming, from Birmingham, has taken on a territory that covers Solihull, Redditch and the surrounding areas.

PGH Beegone is a relatively new franchise, having only taken on its first business partner in June of this year. The company itself began trading about a year ago when Peter merged two well-established brands together – those of PGH Pest Control & Prevention and Beegone Live Bee Removal.

Both businesses were developed by Peter in 2008 and, speaking about his newest recruit, said: “We’re delighted to have Locky on board. His training is going really well. He’s a fast learner and extremely ambitious. I just know he’s going to be super successful.”

Peter, who is also managing director of the franchise, created his two companies 13 years ago after identifying a need for safe and ethical extraction of live honeybees from areas such as wall cavities and chimneys.

He added: “PGH Beegone specialises in and solves the problems others can’t. We remove honey bee colonies and relocate them, and all without the use of pesticides and insecticides.”

New franchisee Louchlan Deeming used to run a business in the hospitality industry, but felt he needed a change. He explained: “I looked at a lot of franchise business options, about 20 in total. But what attracted me to PGH Beegone was the passion of its people.

“You can tell from Peter’s body language that he absolutely loves what he does. It was great to meet existing franchisee David Hasler too and get his perspective on the benefits of the franchise. Saving bees is also very important.

“I’ve got big plans. I want to employ a technician within the next 12 to 18 months. In five years I’d like to have two or three vans on the road and I want to buy more areas. Ideally, in 10 years’ time, I’d like to cover the entire midlands area.”
