Razzamataz links up with Monster High

UK franchise ‘delighted’ to announce partnership with successful movie and entertainment brand

Razzamataz links up with Monster High

Razzamataz Theatre Schools have joined forces with a popular global brand, ahead of next month’s Monster High premiere. The premiere of the second Monster High movie takes place on October 13th, and will be broadcast on Nickelodeon and Paramount.

And to celebrate this latest offering by entertainment giants Mattel; Razzamataz are introducing characters and songs from the movie into their latest dance, singing and music classes.

The first Monster High movie came out last year and proved to be so popular with younger members of the global community, that Mattel wasted little time in announcing there would be a sequel in 2023. Mattel’s Monster High is an iconic brand that is well known for celebrating individuality and self-expression.

In a recently-published press release, Razzamataz announced ‘this collaboration will empower students to unleash their creativity and hopefully embrace an impactful seven-week performing arts programme.’

The press release continued: ‘This partnership will bring to life the ethos of Monster High which celebrates a more accepting world where everyone is proud to be their authentic self through inclusion, diversity and community.’ The brand was originally launched a decade ago and Monster High has now been updated for the benefit of a new generation of young fans.

Denise Hutton-Gosney, the managing director and founder of Razzamataz Theatre Schools, said: “This partnership aligns perfectly with our ethos of nurturing young performers in a safe and inclusive environment.

“By integrating the Monster High brand into our schools, this will give our students the opportunity to explore their creativity, as well as celebrate their individuality. Our schools across the UK will rejoice in this collaboration to further strengthen this important message.”

All students, from juniors to intermediates and seniors, can take part in the programme. This includes dance numbers injected with a spooky twist, music from the Monster High animated series, along with exploring the power of teamwork. The programme will incorporate small excerpts from the movie’s script to provide an opportunity for diversity, equity and inclusion.

Razzamataz Theatre Schools, which has its headquarters in the Cumbrian town of Carlisle, was launched in 2000. It currently has over 50 schools across the UK, teaching more than 10,000 children each week.
