British Franchise Association launches major initiative for 2022

Members are encouraged to upload quality content using innovative BFA toolkit.

The British Franchise Association (BFA) has pledged that in 2022 they will assist their members to increase and improve their PR and marketing content. As a recent BFA press release reported, the Association intend “to give members all the marketing and communications’ tools they need to set their own standard across UK franchising.”

The press release went on to say: “A key part of this will be delivering a PR and communications toolkit for BFA members. This will provide them with wider marketing templates to help align brand messaging and content.” This new and innovative approach will give franchisors more interactive channels, with the BFA adding “this should certainly help with franchisee recruitment.”

According to the Association, this new strategy is “geared towards helping smaller franchisors to have better access to key PR and marketing insight.” The BFA will also be offering its members “PR and marketing training sessions.”

Chris Irons, head of PR and partnerships at the BFA, said: “I am excited to be bringing innovation and a new approach to PR and wider communications. As an Association we recognise that having the right PR and marketing knowledge, expertise and resources, is essential for our members.

“This will help to effectively drive their wider communications and brand awareness. We are aiming to launch a number of marketing communication initiatives this year, all geared towards making sure our members have the right tools they need to succeed. The BFA recognise that franchise brands exist across every business sector and we are looking at new ways to shine a spotlight on every corner of this industry.”

As part of this process, the BFA will be introducing monthly themes to celebrate every aspect of franchising. Members will have their own news hubs, with the Association hoping that the increase in quality content will help to attract visitors to the site and make it the “first port of call” for franchising news and stories.

Chris added: “We are encouraging members to get ever more involved in the development of their own communication profiles. Every BFA member has their own news page linked to their profile listing. These news sections hold press releases on the latest company news. This may include stories about recently joined franchisees, or perhaps award nominations and ceremonies, or even new brand partnerships.”
