Making a difference to the local community

Radfield Home Care is leading the way in providing top quality services for the nation’s elderly population. It’s an in-demand sector, with Radfield keen to attract new franchise partners all across the UK.

During the past dozen years, the demand for care of those aged 65 or over has grown by more than one-quarter in the UK. With people living longer, the need for high-quality home care in this older group has increased by over 25%. And Radfield Home Care has been at the forefront of this ‘revolution’, delivering exceptional care for over 40 years.

The company started life as a solitary residential care home for the elderly in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. It is now one of the UK’s leading franchised businesses, owned by the brother and sister team of Alex Green and Dr Hannah MacKechnie whose parents founded Radfield back in 1982.

Four decades on, the siblings are as keen as ever to expand the business and are looking for new franchise partners to join the network. Radfield‘s joint-owners are delighted to point out that they offer a tried and trusted business model for those with ambitions to make a difference to their local communities.

They explain: “We have overcome the recruitment challenges faced by many in this sector and enjoy consistent growth in both the number of new clients we take on each year, as well as recruiting Care Professionals to work in our homes. Along with recruitment, our staff retention rates are exceptional. This is because we recognise that these Care Professionals are the most important members of our teams.”

What can a Radfield Home Care franchise partner expect by joining the business?

They will become part of an ambitious, forward-thinking brand which specialises in private home care for older people. The company is powered by a unique model, with franchise partners enjoying a range of dedicated and specialist support.

This includes training and on-going assistance from those who have been involved in the sector for many years. These are dedicated Care Professionals and managers who have been there, done it, and know how it works. They will help you to develop and grow your own profitable home care business. You will quickly become a leading care provider in your community, while enjoying a more rewarding life.

Radfield do not consider their franchise partners as being a cog in a giant wheel but that of a treasured independent professional. You will feel understood, encouraged and face every day with the confidence of knowing that you are being supported by one of the UK’s leading care teams.

One partner’s story

Ed Gill joined Radfield Home Care in 2017 as their recruitment manager but in 2021 decided to practice what he had been preaching by launching his own home care business. He says: “It was always a goal of mine to take on my own franchise but I had never really given it much thought.

“I’d been recruiting and supporting dozens of new franchise partners for Radfield before deciding it was time to do it for myself. My experience had shown me that their vision for the brand was different to those of other home care businesses. It was important to remain linked up with Radfield and enjoy the benefits of being supported by Hannah, Alex and the rest of their head office team.”

Moving forward

And the brand wagon continues to gather pace by investing in new digital technology for its franchise partners, Care Professionals and clients. Radfield‘s owners are proud to point out: “For more than 18 months, our digital marketing team have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to create a fresh new feel for the company.

“We exist to help our nation age well and remain connected with those things that matter most to them. This is how we understand, value and deliver care for older people. Our clients want to retain a sense of identity and independence, while enjoying strong relationships with our franchise partners and their Care Professionals.

“We are committed to doing what’s best for our Care Professionals, our clients and their families. We also understand the importance of engaging and becoming valued members of local communities. Our purpose is to ‘Be There‘ for all those connected to Radfield Home Care.”

New kid on the block

Radfield would like to promote their latest technology venture. It’s called Radfield Assure, which is a suite of technology packages for those not yet needing the full home care experience. This suite includes passive sensors, daily check-in systems and wearable devices.
