Money back opportunity for franchisees

Dorset-based Travel Franchise is dangling a huge financial carrot in the faces of their business partners who have been offered the opportunity to have their start-up costs refunded. The challenge for the franchisees is to sell enough holidays, within an agreed time frame, and they will be re-paid their £15k business franchise fees.

The Travel Franchise, whose head offices are in Christchurch, has called this initiative the Money-Back Challenge. This challenge has been up-and-running for a number of months, with some franchise businesses already enjoying the fruits of their success.

Jenny Farenden, head of franchise marketing at The Travel Franchise, explains: “We are the only franchise in the UK to offer this Money-Back Challenge. And while this is not an easy goal to accomplish, many are consistently hitting their targets and will effectively get their business for free.

“Dozens of franchisees have already succeeded and there are no strings attached. We see this as a great incentive for all our Elite Package franchisees, many of whom have hit the ground running and making a real success of their business.”

One example is the husband and wife team of James and Natasha Oliphant from Berkshire. They decided to join The Travel Franchise in June 2021. At the time this was a big decision, but after just eight months of trading they had sold enough holidays to become a winner in the Money-Back Challenge. They were subsequently refunded their franchise fee.

Natasha said: “We had a really bad experience as a consumer after booking a holiday with another company, and then having to cancel due to the pandemic. So we decided to enter the business of travel ourselves. We were obviously very worried about Covid and its impact on travel.

“But, after watching The Travel Franchise video tour, as well as reading reviews and speaking to others, we knew it was right for us. We are passionate about travel. We run the business part-time around other jobs. I also run a beauty business. When we decided to go for it, we immediately started to promote our new business and created a Facebook group – and we invited everyone we knew to join it.

“So we underwent training with the company and within 90 minutes of trading had sealed our first booking – from a complete stranger. One of our biggest bookings came from a lady who had visited my other business to have her eyebrows waxed. It was a holiday in the Maldives, and was initially booked for just two people. But it turned into a group holiday worth over £20,000. This was an amazing feeling.

“We pride ourselves on our five-star reviews. We believe that delivering a first-class customer service is definitely the key to our success. Winning the Money-Back Challenge was a complete bonus. We love what we do and joining The Travel Franchise was one of the best decisions we ever made.”

The Money-Back Challenge is available to all franchisees who have signed-up to the company’s Elite Package (£14,995). The training package for Elite franchisees includes visiting a destination, such as Mauritius, where they will receive personal mentoring from one of the company’s founders.

Franchisees do not need to have any travel agent experience or qualifications.

Fees range from £2,995 (plus VAT) to £49,995 (plus VAT), depending on the chosen package.
