More success for care franchisor Right at Home

Once again, Right at Home has been honoured for attracting numerous rave reviews in an anonymous survey which asks employees to rate their own bosses.

For a second straight year, Merseyside-based Right
at Home
has been named as a five-star employer.

This award is voted for by those who work in the care-giving sector, with more than 1,200 employees, across Right at Home‘s UK network, taking the time to give their bosses the thumbs up.

The survey, which is run by independent researcher WorkBuzz, is carried out anonymously.

Ken Deary, chief executive officer of the UK wing of Right at Home, said: “To hear that we have retained our national 5* Employer award, and achieved this external recognition, is a great boost for our network, and particularly during these challenging times.

“We want our givers of care to feel cared for, and supported in the same way that they care for others in our communities.

“By taking part in this survey annually, we are showing our commitment to continuous improvement.

“It’s also been wonderful to hear the positive comments received from our clients, as well as their families, which is part of our own annual client satisfaction survey.

“This serves as a timely reminder of what a vital job they are doing to support our clients, who can remain living safely in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of their own home.”

Right at Home is the most highly-rated national homecare agency on the UK’s leading independent review site – www.homecare.co.uk.

The company has over 600 franchisees globally, with more than 10% of these in the UK where its headquarters are in Waterloo, north of Liverpool.

These care givers provide clients with a wide range of services, such as companionship, preparation of meals and running errands.

They also offer specialist dementia care and sometimes act as full-time live-in carers.

Steven Frost, CEO of WorkBuzz who organise the annual survey, commented: “At WorkBuzz, we’re passionate about improving people’s working lives.

“We created this award to recognise the best workplace cultures, where employees are proud to work, are motivated to do more, and want to stay for the foreseeable future.

Right at Home truly care about their employees’ experiences and have worked hard to ensure they create a culture where their people can thrive.”

Almost 50% of the Right at Home‘s UK offices, which took part in the survey, were given local 5* Employer recognition.

These awards are presented to those offices which achieve an engagement score of 90 or above.

Right at Home, which provides services to adults over the age of 18, are on the lookout for caring and compassionate people to join its team.

They focus on maintaining dignity for their clients who may have physical disabilities, learning disabilities and are often elderly.

As CEO Ken Deary points out: “Sometimes, sharing a cup of tea and having a chat can make a huge difference to a person’s state of mind.

“Our services are flexible to meet the needs of the people we support, which can be short-term or long-term.

“They range from being an hourly visit each day, to a 24/7 live-in carer.”
