Many business owners are grappling with high costs and fees as they struggle to stay afloat amid UK’s coronavirus lockdown. However, some companies are helping take the load of their plate by reducing costs franchisees are facing. Now, Snap Fitness is waiving all franchise fees and deferring other third-party costs for all 70 fitness clubs across the UK.

Snap Fitness UK and Ireland have announced they will be waiving all franchise fees and help to defer any other third-party costs including insurance and technology costs incurred until their sites re-open again. Snap Fitness has temporarily closed on 20th March according to government guidelines. The fitness club has over 2000 franchises in 18 different countries, with 70 clubs based across the UK and Ireland. Founded in 2003, Snap Fitness provides bespoke and personalised training to its clients using precise heart rate monitoring to ensure they get the best workout possible, with a focus on functional training. By recording their heart rate, clients can maximise fat burning, retain muscle and push themselves to achieve great results in their workout.

“With our clubs temporarily closing as of Friday last week, it has been our number one priority to support the people who invested in us right from the get-go, our franchisees,” Snap Fitness UK & Ireland CEO Isaac Buchannan said. “Without them, we wouldn’t have our 70 Snap Fitness clubs across the UK & Ireland, as well as all our fantastic staff and members. This is a chance for all franchise brands to step up and give franchisees as much support and relief as possible alongside the government measures. It is a challenging time for our industry, but with these measures, our incredible franchisees can continue to support our club managers, PTs and many others. We will come out of this stronger than ever and with a unified team.”

It is important for companies to be there for their franchisees during this difficult time, to lend a helping hand and be a beacon of support by providing the tools and resources for them to navigate their business during the coronavirus outbreak.
