Tech and training helps Guardian Angel Carers franchisee beat target by 400%

Guardian Angel Carers franchise network is rapidly expanding to meet the demand for exceptional at home care across the country.

The care sector has proven to be resilient and recession-proof, as care needs never stop, our population ages and the demand for high quality care increases. “One of our newer franchisees is showing income up 400% vs predictions despite coming on board at the height of the pandemic,” commented Managing Director Daniel Ayton.  “Our investment in state-of-the-art technology over the past year is key to our success.  Care is a complex business. Finding and integrating the right technology is paramount.”

Guardian Angel Carers has seen dramatic increased interest in owning a home care franchise, a business opportunity with profit and purpose.  Rigorous training, meticulous on-boarding and a proven operating model based on the latest technology is attracting new franchisees and is seeing existing franchisees thrive.

CQC registration is the major milestone to starting trading.  Franchisees are coached and supported through the process by an ex-CQC inspector, part of the Guardian Angel Carers team.  It’s a rigorous and demanding process in a heavily regulated sector, but, with the guidance of the GAC team, even those from a non-healthcare background are able to pass and begin trading.

Former RAF pilots Tim Corry & Alex Duncan are adapting brilliantly to the care sector, seeing many synergies from their military careers.  They believe strong organisational skills, great people management, being process driven and having a learning mindset are key to success.

Alex explains, “There’s a real focus on training, coaching and performance improvement. Whilst there are lots of systems and technology in place you are treated as an individual. We play to our strengths and are supported in areas we need to improve our skills, knowledge and experience. Specialist care training was part of the process for new franchisees – it gives us a unique insight into client needs and an understanding of who we need in our business to help us thrive.”

Business partner Tim believes it’s the team ethos and looking after colleagues that sets them apart. “I’ve seen that if we focus on looking after our CareAngel colleagues, treating them well and listening, they are more able to support our clients,” he comments.

Founder and CEO Christina Handasyde Dick is proud of the growing franchise network. “We take great pride in seeing our franchisees thrive as their businesses grow. We expect that our franchisees will break even within one year of their initial CQC registration, but some of our franchisees are surpassing even our expectations. One of our newer franchises is currently trading at over 400% of their targeted income – an incredible 19 months ahead of prediction.”

Asked what she thought was behind this success Christina added, “Our franchisees work hard and are very diligent and tenacious.  To support them over the last year we’ve built up our central franchise team.  I’m very confident that we have a team of experts in their field who are able to help our franchisees overcome challenges and implement best practice across operations, marketing and compliance. We pride ourselves on our award-winning care training and industry-leading technology and systems which allow our franchisees to meet local need and, dare I say it, outperform the competition.”

Beyond the profitability of owning a business in this growth-sector, investing in a home care franchise with Guardian Angel Carers is also an investment in the local community. Business owners have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of the people they serve, allowing people to live independently for longer, in the comfort of their own homes.

“I think now that I’m a business owner my life will change. To help people is a great feeling,” says franchise owner Davide.

Our growing network of franchise owners includes people from a wide variety of backgrounds, due to the vast amount of transferrable skills that people bring from previous careers. Whilst some come from healthcare or business backgrounds, others come from industries such as hospitality, media, military and aviation.  If you are interested in becoming a part of the rapidly expanding Guardian Angel Carers franchise network visit our website to find out more https:/www.gacarers.co.uk/franchise or email [email protected]
