Franchisees from across the Drama Kids network converged for their annual summer seminar late last month, engaging in a dynamic blend of networking, celebration and future planning. Themed Unlocking Potential, this year’s event focused on promoting growth among staff, students and the franchisees themselves.

“We believe that by unlocking the potential within ourselves and our teams, we can achieve amazing things together,” said Becky Goodfield, COO of Drama Kids. “Every stakeholder in our business, from our dedicated teachers to our enthusiastic students, deserves the opportunity to achieve their best.

Held at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel at Manchester Airport, the event showcased energetic guest speakers from franchise experts Chantry Group and featured presentations by Drama Kids’ HR team. Attendees gained valuable insights on self-awareness and effective staff employment.

Unlocking Potential is not just the theme for this year’s seminar; it is the cornerstone of everything we do. It was a fantastic opportunity to realign with this mission, gather new ideas, share experiences and get inspired.”

A standout moment of the day was the ‘Franchisee Voice’ sessions. During these segments, franchisees stepped up to share their best advice on excelling in customer service, strategies for business growth and tips for achieving a healthy work-life balance. “It’s important that our franchisees feel their voices are heard,” added Becky. “We recognise that their valuable contributions are what drive the success of the entire network. By sharing their stories and insights, we build a strong, united community where everyone thrives.”

Acknowledging the significance of honouring its network, the Drama Kids team presented several awards to celebrate excellence. These included accolades for innovation, inspiration, outstanding achievement and the esteemed Franchisee of the Year award, which was rightfully earned by Jackie Andrew of Drama Kids Glasgow.

“Discovering Drama Kids was like finding a part of myself, and running my branch for the past 18 years has transformed me in so many ways,” said Jackie. “Working in such a fun, nurturing environment for children, and within a positive, supportive franchise, is truly a privilege. I’m grateful to head office for their support over these 18 years. I feel blessed to have met so many inspirational people through our network.”

The seminar concluded with a lively evening celebration inspired by one of Drama Kids’ plays, where attendees showcased their creativity by dressing up in their best fancy-dress costumes. “It was wonderful to celebrate the successes of our network and honour those like Jackie, who have excelled in their roles over the past 12 months,” said Becky. “The evening celebration was the perfect end to a fantastic day of learning and networking, truly showcasing the spirit and fun that make Drama Kids so special.”
