You can't afford NOT to think big

Property maintenance company Fantastic Services pride themselves on the power of positive thinking. Check out if you fit the bill to become their next millionaire.

There’s little point being in business if you’re not ambitious. And there are few companies in existence as ambitious as Fantastic Services. They proudly state that, over the next 10 years, their mission is to help 1,000 of their franchisees become millionaires. Fantastic Services is a leader in the property maintenance industry with a global network of more than 530 franchise partners across the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States.

Launching Fantastic Services 11 years ago, the company symbolizes how from humble beginnings, great achievements can be accomplished. Today, they offer more than 100 wide-ranging services, such as cleaning, handyman, pest control, gardening and removals. And if you think their plan to create 1,000+ millionaires is a little over the top, then consider this. In the UK alone, a number of their developers have already generated revenues in excess of £1m.

Anton Skarlatov, co-founder and CEO of Fantastic Services, says: “We established our business in 2009 during a recession and we believe that our innovative thinking and hard work helps us to be successful during uncertain times. Our company is living proof that starting a business during a financial crisis could be a very smart move.”

The company has expanded its base significantly in recent months and they’re now looking for people who share the same vision and want to run a thriving business in the home-services market. Skarlatov and his co-founder Rune Sovndahl are on the lookout for people who are keen to run a thriving business of their own in the home-services market.

Fantastic Services offer three types of franchises, depending on the person’s background, experience, resources and goals. The Working Franchise involves running a single unit or managing a couple of teams. The Area Development Franchise gives owners exclusive rights to sub-franchise the brand in a particular area or county. Bigger than this, the Master Franchise guarantees the rights for an entire country.

Rune Sovndahl, company chairman, admits that it takes a certain character to build a business that makes its owner a millionaire: “We already have all we need – innovative mindset, cutting-edge technology and flexible business model. But franchisees need to put a lot of work and dedication into their company to become millionaires. Franchising is a two-way street.

“Our franchise program works for people from many different walks of life. It doesn’t matter what your background is, where you were educated and who your parents are. I don’t think you need to go to university to become a millionaire. What you do need is the drive and persistence to follow the system and create a successful business.”

To make it more affordable for people who want to start their own business in these challenging times, Fantastic Services decided to open their Working Franchise opportunity outside London.

Rune added: “After the Covid-19 outbreak, many people working in the hardest-hit sectors either lost their jobs or experienced significant pay cuts. In view of that, we decided to give those people a chance to run their own businesses, so we lowered the initial fee for a Working Franchise to £5,000.

“We, ourselves, had started Fantastic Services with a budget as small as £5,000. And that’s why we decided to open our smallest and most affordable franchise opportunity for everyone, everywhere.”

The success of Fantastic Services is also down to the company’s strong belief in embracing modern technology. This was highlighted in August of this year when they were among the prize winners at the 2020 Franchise Innovation Awards ceremony. The company was declared a winner of the Most Innovative Service Introduction award.

Anton explained: “We are committed to investing 80% of all our profits back into the business. In the past 11 years, we’ve built a fully integrated CRM (customer relationship management) platform and two award-winning apps that allow customers to book a service in less than 30 seconds. The whole system optimises the work of technicians and franchisees, improves business efficiency and helps increase profits.”

As a matter of policy, Fantastic Services offers full training, support and even individual business coaching. The company prides itself on being truly supportive, with Rune stressing: “It’s not just about providing support. It’s giving franchisees focus. It gives them the opportunity to be part of something bigger.

“We are a people-driven company, backed by high-end technology. The company has different opportunities for different individuals and we aim to help our business partners achieve their own personal goals. No matter what industry someone chooses to dive into, whether it’s cleaning, gardening, handyman, plumbing or pest control, our aim is to make them a millionaire.”
