The first 90 days in business

The first 90 days of your business is going to be one of the most important steps of your career. It is where you build momentum, build your energy, and learn everything about the services provided. When investing into a franchise, you’re not just starting a new business, you’re buying into one. This means that the business will already have all the tricks, tools, and techniques that you require.

In my company, Sparkle Cleaning, we have developed a training process for the first 5 days, giving you access to the tools and systems needed. After the training process, we encourage you to figure out and understand where you are headed over the next 90 days. Over those first 90 days of any business, you will need dedication in learning everything you can about the services offered and it is vital to have a plan.

“Start with the end in mind”

I recommend that the first thing you do is make a plan. Start with your end goal in mind. Where do you want to be? What do you want to achieve after three months? Who is your target audience? Without a plan, you will face many problems and challenges. Know where you’re heading. This will help bring you direction and end up bringing in more clients and a better profit.

Many people, once they have learnt the systems and tricks of the trade, get ahead of themselves and just go for it with no known path. The lack of direction leads to having no idea where they are headed, so instead they go everywhere, target everyone with no specific target market. As a result they end up targeting no one as a client.

At Sparkle Cleaning, we aim to support those that invest in us, every step of the way. Using those first 90 days to help teach them who to target and the best way to target them. We advise when they should bring the team on and when is the best time to recruit. We help them know when to invest in sales and marketing. Having this advice in the background is invaluable, so use the expertise you have on tap to your maximum advantage and enjoy your first 90 days as a business owner.
