‘Best ever’ summer for ChipsAway

Top UK car repair specialists post most impressive quarterly lead figures in companys history.

It’s been another great few months for car bodywork specialists ChipsAway, who have just reported their best-ever quarterly figures. The Kidderminster-based company, which began trading in the UK 26 years ago, have enjoyed a bumper summer despite issues surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic.

Between June and August, the company distributed over 81,000 leads to its network of 200 franchisees, equating to more than 400 leads per engineer. This represents an increase of almost 14%, compared to the same period last year, with marketing director Robin Auld delighted to announce: “It was our strongest quarter ever.”

And to illustrate just how valuable this period has been to the company, if you break these figures down into individual components, ChipsAway have posted their first, second and sixth best months since starting out in 1994 – and there are more than 300 months to choose from. This data further vindicates the importance of their recent marketing offensive which included a high-profile TV advertising campaign.

Robin added: “Our aggressive marketing campaigns raised the profile of the brand just as lockdown restrictions were easing, which has resulted in us being able to provide our franchisees with more leads for their businesses than ever before. We’re repeatedly told that one of the main reasons our franchisees work with us is that we provide so many new opportunities for them. So it’s been a great help to retain this key element of our support, following the challenges presented by lockdown.

“We had been anticipating a record period in our company, following a very successful month in July. And we were delighted that this surge in demand for our service continued throughout August, to give us our best quarter ever.”

And Robin explained that the number of inquiries the company has received from potential new franchisees has also increased in recent months. He believes this has happened because of Covid-19, which has led many people to re-evaluate their lives following the threat of redundancy.

Robin went on: “We welcome any budding entrepreneurs looking to branch out into franchising to get in contact with us and, following such a buoyant time for our business, the future really does look bright. Recessions provide people with the time to think about what they actually want from their careers, and for many it will be the motivation they require to become self-employed. For those who still want the reassurance of continual lead generation, and the support of a head office function, franchising bridges the gap perfectly.”

About ChipsAway: Launched 1994 in the UK, the company is a full member of the British Franchise Association, with a rapidly expanding network of over 200 franchisees. ChipsAway International is the originator and dominant player in the rapidly growing SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) automotive repair market.
