Promote your franchisees with video

We all know that video is a fantastic promotional tool but videos can be expensive and time consuming to produce. The real power of video is creating episodic content to keep your brand front of mind and one of the easiest ways to make regular episode content is the video podcast.

The production process is super simple. Record an interview on a platform like Webex or Zoom. You can even use the platforms own recording function to do that. Then post the interview on social media, on your website or you can even post the video or audio only version on platform like Spotify or Apple.

If you want to polish your video even more you can add branding or subtitles using tools like Adobe Premier or iMovie or do it automatically using tools like shoutout.social or zubtitle.

So that’s the technical side covered, let’s look at the creative. One video podcast idea is to showcase your franchisees by interviewing them about their business and what they have gained by being a franchisee.

In a few weeks you will be able to have a series of videos that will add value to other franchisees as well as being a fantastic recruitment tool for new ones.

What better way to sell the your franchise than hearing the authentic stories of your franchisees journey. Everyone loves a story, especially a rags to riches story, or triumph over adversity.

As well as creating some useful content, you will also have spent valuable time with your franchisees and found out more about them.

If done right, these interviews will also be a useful tool for your franchisees to post on social or send to prospective customers to get to know them better. Business is all about relationships and this is a fantastic way for your franchisees to start building that relationship online.

These video interviews don’t have to be long. I have a video podcast called ‘5 minute expert’ which is based around a quick 5 minute interview. I would recommend between 5 minutes and half an hour as an ideal length. Just write your questions out before hand and just go with the flow of the interview. Just treat it like a conversation but keep in mind what an audience will want to hear and try to provide as much value as possible.

The hardest part in creating a video podcast is to get started, however, once you have created the first one the rest is easy. So why not jump on a webex or zoom and get interviewing.
