BFA launches new coaching programme to ‘raise the bar’ for franchising

The British Franchise Association (BFA) has launched a new programme to help franchisors and franchisees succeed in their businesses. The BFA is spearheading their brand-new Qualified Franchise Coach programme (QFC), which aims to improve the skills of those in the franchise sector. The programme seeks to enhance the franchisor and franchisee relationships while maximising their performance at every level. Developed by leading franchise training company Franchology and the BFA Academy, the Qualified Franchise Coach programme is an accredited coaching method divided into eight models, designed to strengthen the skills and knowledge of franchisees and franchisors.

The Qualified Franchise Professional programme is a sister to the highly successful QFP, which has successfully trained over 203 candidates since its launch in 2011. This brand new QFC programme will address the unique challenges that exist between franchisors and franchisees using the ‘Coaching with Compassion’ methodology, which draws on experience, research, neuro and behavioural science to help them achieve lasting change.

The QFC programme has been accredited by the Universal Coaching Alliance (UCA), a specialist global coaching body. The UCA has a code of professional conduct and ethics which is aligned with the BFA’s code of ethics. Through completing the QFC programme, candidates can expect significant improvements in franchisor and franchisee relationships, enhanced performance, improved attraction and retention of high-quality franchisees and employees, as well as the ability to engage in positive exit strategy coaching conversations, effectively reducing the risks and costs associated with disputes and litigation. Franchisors and franchisees will also achieve 600 Academy Points towards their CPD records.

Pip Wilkins, CEO of the BFA said: “I am so proud of this new programme, developed by our dedicated Academy team and Franchology, that will benefit the entire franchise sector. We have irrefutable proof that franchising success comes from a great relationship between a franchisor and a franchisee, and we are delighted to be launching this brand-new programme, that we know will be such a great help to so many brands and individuals across the sector. Our QFP qualification has been a huge success, and we fully expect the QFC programme to be just as popular, as we equip our members with the finest educational tools to ensure the success of their businesses and brands.”
